To top it all off...

We just spotted Daniel and Amy on "Extra" over Michelle Pfeiffer's
shoulder at the premier of "Stardust" last night. Amy even threw in a
little hair flip. We're recording Entertainment Tonight and Access
Hollywood, too. Kirsten's not so impressed -- she hasn't made it onto
TV yet in all over her time on the red carpet!

We're home!

A couple of Skybus observations from the return flight:

• The $10 fee for priority seating (first to board) is probably worth
it, particularly on a return flight, if you're planning on eating.
They don't restock food on the ground anywhere other than in Columbus.
With carts at the front and back, those passengers get first dibs on
what's left from the first flight. They had sold out of quite a bit
even by the time they got to our row, row 6. Daniel was expecting a
breakfast sandwich, but they'd sold out of those on the way to LA this
morning. Ran out of creamer, too.

Kyle and Daniel had turkey wraps. They were a bit soggy -- pretty
clear they'd come all the way from Columbus.

• I'd you don't really care where you're sitting, and can bear
watching all the people lined up at the gate board ahead of you, then
I wouldn't bother with the priority boarding.

The good news for us is that until Kate's six, we can board
immediately after the priority folks! We also got to jump to the front
of the LONG security line this morning thanks to our little girl. (I'm
pretty sure it was because of her age, not her incredible charm!) The
smile and hair just got us comments several times a day, every day.
Wouldn't have it any other way!

Funny thing at the gate: Amy motioned to a guy in line for our flight
and said, "Isn't that Scott, the Fear Factor guy?" At Universal
Studios on Thursday we went to the "Fear Factor Live" show, and a man
from Columbus was one of the contestants. After hanging from about 30
feet, being shocked, and drinking a blend of bugs, pig parts, and
rotten milk, he ultimately won. As we were walkimg past him, Kyle
said, "Are you the Fear Factor guy from Universal?" Don't think he got
it at first, but then he turned red and said, "That's me!" Amy told
him we were rooting for him. We thought that was pretty funny!

I suppose that's it for this inaugural Anderson family travelblog.
There are plenty more pictures and stories. And Daniel's writing what
will be his third book. Might want to reserve your copy now...

Heading home...

Dinner in Westwood

Having our last LA dinner at BJs in Westwood. It's across the street
from the ice cream sandwich place, which currently has a very, very
long line out the door.

Amy and Daniel went to the premier of "Stardust" earlier on the
Paramount lot. They saw Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Daines, and Amy
literally bumped into Cameron Manheim!

American Girl update

Amy wanted everyone to know that Daniel didn't just chip in a buck or
two. He put in $20 of his vacation money for Kate's twins!

Sent from my iPhone

Daniel barely escaped...

Quite a store, though!
